Man it was cold in there...next stop ice skating at the Galleria in Houston! With our heavy coats and scarves on that's what it looks like we are doing!

And with all that music playing for the skaters, I couldn't help but get out there are show off my moves...would somebody get me in some dance lessons soon???!!! Mommy is sorry for the lack of video rotation! oops!

House Update

Built-ins for the Living Room and in the Laundry!!!

And for those of you wanting an update on the house...our kitchen cabinets are in! All closets are finished and crown and baseboard trim are in throughout the entire house. Painters were supposed to start trimming this week, but we didn't see any work done in the way of painting them this week. The front and back Hardy Plank Siding have been painted a wonderful Mossy Green shade and our working shutters have been painted and installed! We did decide on paint colors, and we are hoping to see them on the walls sometime this week! For the most part, we've chosen neutral colors; but as requested little princess will, of course, have a pink room! Last we'd heard our contractor thought we were about three weeks out, but that was when we were supposed to start paint last week...we'll see, but it won't be long! I'll try and take cabinet pics soon!

Baby Reed's Baptism

On Sunday, January 17th Reed was Baptized into the Catholic Church. Father Wayne LeBleu once again did the honor for our family...he also married us back in 2003 and baptized Julian in 2007. What a great journey it's been! So many special friends and family were there to witness the special occasion! We even managed to get this really great family picture!

What a Way to Start a New Year!!!

Well we FINALLY did it! It's been TWO YEARS in the making and we finally made a decision on a house...not exactly what we had planned, but exciting all the same! We often drive through the many south Lake Charles neighborhoods and wonder if we would ever like moving into one??!! Well, on December 28th, one of Mike's first few days off since April! we found this little gem in Chosen Valley...off Ham Reid, between Lake and Nelson. It is for sale by the contractor, Mike and Brenda Porche, who happen to live across the street! It is not yet complete, which is perfect because we can now customize it to fit what we had in mind when building our "dream" home! After an agonizing week of what if's...we signed the buy/sell agreement and put a down payment to hold the house for us!

Here's the best part...wait for it...it has a garage!!! and do you see all the concrete!!!
In the past week many changes have taken place...our computer desk/workstation has been installed....
Laundry Room...custom built in halltree to come to keep ourselves organized in our new house...
Man I just love these doors!!! More pictures/updates to come...keep checking back! :) So exciting!!!
